Skinning Internet Explorer: How?

Is it possible to skin (prefereably the buttons) Internet Explorer? So far, I've found a program called Themebar, http://www.microgarden.com/themebar/ but it has a really annoying nag screen that forces me to close it out of frustration before I can decide if the program is worth the 13 bux it costs to register. Does anyone know how to skin the Internet Explorer buttons, or a program that can skin?
