Icons disapprearing

Monday, August 7, 2017 by Flogisch | Discussion: Icons

Hey there!

I'm currently using Windows 10 on my computer.

I've installed the latest version of Icon Packager on it. I've tried to create myself an icon pack.

However, it is not showing correctly. Not sure why....

Here is a little video on that. Hope that someone is able to give me some help on that.

 Thanks for the reply.
 I've contacted the support already.

They said that I have to go onto the forums.

I've had the same issue, I found a quick an easy fix.

It seems after you make the icon pack, IconPackager deletes a bunch of the icons and applies the rest incorrectly.

Here's how I fixed:

Make your icon pack, and save as.

  1. Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\IconPackager
  2. Select your icon pack folder, and right click it
  3. Click 'Properties'
  4. Click the 'Security' tab
  5. Click 'Edit'
  6. Now, under each Group/User, you need to check the DENY box next to 'Write'

What that does is it prevents IconPackager (and anything else) from deleting anything or rearranging.

Not the best fix, but it works.
