ObjectDock is really messsing up on me today... :notsure:

Thursday, May 1, 2003 by Stu L Tissimus | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

First off, I was testing if the smilies worked in a topic. So if not, the notsure meant .

Anyway, I started up ObjectDock after returning to Windows to repartition my ReiserFS partition because I messed it up during a Gentoo install. Don't pay attention to that. But anyway, it's acting weird. This is the first time it has happened, but it happens again and again, even after a reboot. I'm thinking of reinstalling all of it... But here are the "symptoms", if anybody can help me. Anyway, when I launch it from a desktop icon, it makes the Taskbar disapear... but no other bar comes up. So, I reclick on the ObjectDock icon. And the properties window pops up long after it should, 5 seconds +. And there is nothing in it, until I fiddle around with it a little, move the window around a biut. So, when it finally does that, it runs horribly slow. When I do ctrl-alt-del, it says that OD is taking up 97% resources. Even if I just leave it. So, it's weird. Can somebody help?

Now THIS is weird. I decided I might as well try to use ObjectDock on my other log in account thingy, on the same computer. Don't ask. But anyway, on another account: Lo and behold, it works!

Now, I'm thinking of doing a System Restore. Good idea, Bad idea?

Why do a system restore? That seems a bit extreme. Why not unnstall and reinstall OD? Also, do you have the latest version? There was an update a while back, don't remember when.
