Background of desktop gadgets
invisibility
Thursday, June 15, 2017 by gwtaylor | Discussion: Community
Hello Everyone, Please excuse the ignorance of a complete novice but is it possible for someone of my limited knowledge to make the background of a desktop gadget transparent so that the desktop image below it is visible with just the relevant parts of the gadget being visible with your wallpaper in the background. I have some (limited) experience in working with HTML from a lifetime ago but whether that is relevant to this I dont know. If someone could explain it in terms understandable by a very small child that would be even better. Thanks for reading.....Gary..

I am going to assume you are talking about DesktopX. If you are not, more context is needed.
Use PNGs with transparency for your images.
It's super-useful to look at similar DesktopX widgets (not gadgets as you cannot see what makes up a gadget) in the gallery
