Very cool effects, but I don't care for the red, personally. Do I dare suggest blue?

Everybody's opinion will be different. For me it's too bright and gaudy but someone else will like bright colours. Just be yourself and hope for the best.

not bad, im also not a huge fan of bright colours, i prefer hi contrast but dark walls, it seems that at this site, things are kept or rejected more as a taske of the admins, rather that for the quality of the work.

I'd say it's a little hard on the eyes - the bright colours, that is. In addition it seems as thought you're going for a rippling effect, but perhaps you could make it either less abstract (water effects), or more abstract but less "busy."

I'll say the same thing I normally say when faced with a wallpaper like this. Did you intend for it to look this way *before* you made it? Or at least to a reasonable degree? If you did, then don't let anyone tell you it is 'bad'.

My *opinion* is that you were guided by filters, not the other way around. I'm a filter snob, mainly because I believe devoutly in purposefully creating every detail of something, even if it is abstract. Abstract doesn't mean random, and randomly-generated things ( as most 'effects' filters are ) aren't really art, to me.

The eldest, most honorable definition of art, imho, is synonymous with 'craft', an expertly exercised skill. Filters can be 'wielded' skillfully, but it requires holding as closely as you can to your original vision.

Again, if you set out to make something very similar to what you ended up with, then you don't need the approval of anyone else. If you didn't, I would go back in my mind to the original idea and see how much it was changed by the restrictions imposed by the filters. Usually, when you pin down something that is is different, you'll find it to be something that degraded from the image as a whole.

Not exactly my type. I like bright colors but not bright and contrasting like this. Make something wiht colors that are a little more subtle and something that wouldn't burn your retinas out.
