How did you meet your spouse or SO

If you're married or dating, how did you meet them?
I met my wife back in 1992. We had two Electrical Engineering classes together and a EE lab. In the lab, I accidentally started a fire due to some...mistakes with my circuit. This got her attention.
Soon after we started studying together and became friends. A few weeks later, my roommate in college told me he was going to be moving in with an old friend of his who was transferring which meant I needed to find a place to live. But it was so late in the semester that it was looking like I'd end up being in a dorm room with some random freshman which I didn't want.
My friend (Debbie who would become my wife) said that she and her 3 friends (all girls) were renting a house next year and were looking for a 5th person. I'm a guy. LIve with 4 girls? Sure!
Eventually we got engaged and got married in 1994 and lived happily ever after.

I would make excuses to keep visiting the cash desk window so I could talk to her. I asked her what she usually did when she got off work, she said she was going home. I lied and said that I always go to the cinema on a Friday night, on my own (yeah right!) and would she like to come with me (trying to keep it low key and casual you see, in case she said no
).After work I drove her to her house so that she could change out of her uniform and we went to see the movie "Ghost". From that first night it felt as though we had always been together, and we have barely spent a day apart since. (I only found out later that she is 15 years younger than me!)
We were married within the year. 13 years and two beautiful children later, we are still together.
We have a weird and wonderful relationship...............she's weird, and I'm wonderful!

I met my fiancee (Silver Bird) over 2 yrs ago in a chatroom. Im never been to mcuh into this internet " relationship" but when I saw her picture, I said -Hey, why not
I was living in New York at the time, so I took a little vacation to meet her. I liked what I saw, and 10 months later I moved to Florida to be with her.
And If all goes well... I'll be a married man by next summer

Well actually it was a dart board but so what. We were married 10 months later. That was 16 1/2 years ago.

but she had a thing for my friend instead and brushed me off... so I backed off and didn't talk to her anymore... 2 years later she met me again and she was the one in love with me this time, head over heals...
so I took things slow and we hit it off big and have been dating for 2 years since we met again...

We have been together for about 10 years and have been married for 7. At our wedding reception, in his brothers toast to us, he said: "we knew it was serious when Jeff said he had 'better things to do' then come home and work on cars." He should be happy now because he has a wife *and* his racing stuff.

To our eternal amusement, this was more accurately described as a 6 hour trek. I decided then to kill the guy who suggested this walk.
Night fell, and we were lost in rugged mountain terrain where one wrong step and snap goes your leg.
Terry [now my wife] was faint and had to be helped/supported.
I plotted creative methods of extermination.....Bruce would die with style.
I decided it was too dark and dangerous to continue, since we could only guess which way to go...[Bruce had led us off-track as well.....castration was looking good].
Fortunately for us all, I smoked and had matches with me, so I lit a small fire to keep warm with till daybreak.
So there we were, Terry and I, 'sleeping' together just hours after meeting....[actually, I was looking at options for post-castration....knee-capping or bamboo under fingers...ah, decisions, decisions].
Just as it became light, a car drove past on the other side of the valley....we'd been sleeping just 100 yards from the road we had set out on.
We got back to camp early and I cooked cheese and onion omelettes...and had a beer or ten.
Getting back to her place, in a car with a noisy exhaust. I asked Terry, if, after all the dramas of the weekend [like almost perishing on a mountain side], she wouldn't be against doing something a little less dramatic like going to the Drive-In.
She said yes. Silly girl [that was her chance to escape], we got married in June, '82 and are, still...

Dunno what happened to Bruce....my guess is that someone actually finalised extermination methods and acted on them, too...
