In few words: I just want to uninstall one simple program and which is not possible regularly. I don't want to intefere into my PC into regeistry or what ever to face bigger problems later.
One final question: Is anybody capable to tell my in few simple words how to click away WB 3.5 and install WB4??????
If not I think that the best way is to delete the whole ObjectDesktop to avoid such problems in the future.
And another kind request to those guys who write such programs:
Please make them just simply uninstalable!!!!!
I remeber that 35 years ago the man kind flu to the moon. But it seems that 35 years later we are not able to uninstall one damn program. Hope my sincere words didn't heart anybody and which is not my intention but I just wanted to tell it honestly.

People have told you.
"And another kind request to those guys who write such programs:

They do make them uninstallable. It would seem that something on your PC deleted the log file. Possibly an overzealous cleanup program that deletes all backup and what it considers temporary files. A log file may be considered temporary to such a program.
Without the log of where things installed to removing them automatically is kinda hard.
Follow my advice above and you should be able to install WB4 without problems.

With my PC everything is O.K. None overzealous program has cleaned up something. Not to my knowledge.

The simple explanation is after finally succussfull uninstall of the WB3.5, rebooting and installing WB4 no WB4 icon was created in the objectdesktop folder and no WB button appeared in the display/design panel.
So means that WB4 on my CD is probaly corrupt and can't be installed.
This could be the only explanation which I have reported to stardock for solution.
Anyhow thanks to everybody who tried to contribute to the solution of this mistery.

Have you opened Display properties after the WB4 install? Are there no WB skins listed in the drop down list on the Appearance tab?

no there are no skins in the display panel.Which is an sign for not installed WB4. There is no stardock folder im my program files and no skins.

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY AND EXPRESS MY GRATITUDE TO EVERYONE WHO TRIED TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SOLUTION OF THIS PROBLEM WHICH WAS NOT DUE TO ANY OTHER REASON BUT DUE TO CORRUPTED WB4 ON MY CD.
NICE WEEKEND!!!

Also, please note, that in the future, this is *not* a valid means to get Stardock support. Support logs (and sales) show 10+ emails to you. (You previously stated that nobody responded to you.)
BTW, you did not need to purchase WB on its own. Object Desktop has two ways to download components (Component Manager or Stardock Central) both give you access to the exact same program that you purchased for $19.95. Support's last email to you explained this prior to your additional purchase. If you have question, *PLEASE* contact [email protected] or [email protected]

I couldn't download through Component manager. It showed installed WB4 but I could't start it. Sorry but this is the true.
Besides $19.95 were worth it to escape the anger.
And one thing more. I never received answer from your support dept. since I told this Kim and she has forwarded my qustions to you. Also true!!!!
Otherwise I would have not claimed!!!

Please contact [email protected] with support email as we will not be giving you support on these messageboards (as they are not a valid means of getting technical support)

I sent my requests to message board because you didn't reply.

The same thing happened to me. I finally found the the "Install.log" (not the usual uninstall.log) in the "All Users" folder. The uninstall program did not know to look there. I did a Find. After finding several files called "Install.log" on my hard drive I opened each until I found the one that said Object Desktop in it.
I then copied it to the Program Folder for Object Desktop and Uninstall worked.
HOWEVER...uninstall leaves all sorts of folders, files, links and yes even mucho keys in the registry!

1. Disable Windowblinds
2. Reboot
3. If the fastload.dll file is still locked, just delete everything else.
4. Install registered WB4 to a new folder.
5. When it's using that fastload instead of the other delete the old one.
6. Try killing explorer in the taskmanager and going through cmd and deleteing through that.
