I have leaned working in my profession as a decorative painter, I deal with a lot of men(plumbers,carpenters,electricians,contractors etc...) that the best thing is to just get in there and get your message across in a positive and friendly manner. You have to show that you are strong but not appear weak because they will eat you alive!!!
I personally think that if this site were just men it would be pretty boring!!!
I think the women here balance all you guys quite well!!!

Are there still people that will say " Oh, you are a girl..." and discount you? I can't imagine that here. It is so foreign an idea that I can't really grasp it. I realize that there is a significant difference in how men and women react to each other socially (as is demonstrated by this string, actually), but I can't comprehend being wary of a messageboard full of women (and lemme tell ya, i've been ganged up on by them plenty
).I always heard this kind of thing from Doreen, but I thought she was just being... well... Doreen.
Are we really that scary?
