Feature Friday: New and Updated WindowBlinds Skins!

We’ve had a bunch of new and updated WindowBlinds skins submitted over the past few weeks. Since we have started a new month, lets take a look back and feature some of these fantastic skins.

I will get off this soapbox with one last possibility... could you just upgrade the pictures that show the older blinds to the current resolutions? That shouldn't take somebody more than a couple of days. It looks to me like we need more users WAY more than we need more skinners and maybe this little tweak would help.
What pictures?

I think they are talking about the preview pictures on the site ID, some of the older ones are really tiny, or don't show enough of the skin to make a decision on whether or not to even download it.

Yep! What LightStar said! I would like things on the site to look a little more like what we see on our screens at home. Take LightStar's stuff for instance........ just kidding! EVERYBODY has lots of creativity in their work.
If it is a matter of resources, I have a 3 screen 2560x1440 setup and I have over 1200 Windowblinds all installed, tuned up, graded, ID'd to author, etc. in an Excel spreadsheet. I could supply some and see how you like them. Just give the me the parameters!

How is that going to work. I tried some of the very old skins and trust me they have issues no matter what anyone else says.
So doing what you want isn't so cut and dry. The WB would have to be downloaded and installed. Now say it looks at least good enough to do a new SS. So the SS is done but who is going to upload it. It has to stay with the authors (uploaders) name. Example someone just can't download one of my skin, make a new SS and upload it. It would be uploaded under their name and that isn't allowed.
So I don't see this as even possible.

That would be something the individual authors would need to address. We wouldn't be able to change the screenshots the original author uploaded.

I just figured I could batch up a bunch at a time and send them (JUST the pic) to Island Dog. He could review and send to the WEB guys for substitution for the old ones.
I think I am pushing on a string here. Don't want to irritate anyone. Just some thoughts.

I appreciate the ideas and I think it would be great if authors would update their older skins, but there are over 5,000 WindowBlinds skins on this site. Most of them were not created by us, they were created by individual skinners. Some might not appreciate having their work altered for whatever the reason.
