SKS and Hi Resolution images
Friday, February 17, 2017 by DaveBax | Discussion: WindowBlinds
There has been only one recent comment that someone was having a problem getting WindowBlind skins to work on Hi resolution or 4k monitors. In SKS 10 there is a place to install Hi Res images for every image in every section. The are places to install 6 images ranging from 125% to 250% scaling. So lets say one is in the Edit start menu section. So every image you have in that section would you place it in all 6 areas in the Build high dpi image section? Would you need different size images in each? Anything information Stardock could provide would be appreciated. 4k is coming so I would just as well make a correct WB now for hi res so it can be used in the future.

DaveBax wish i could give you an answer, but i cant haven't played with Skinstudio for quite some time.
If i needed advice or got stuck and nobody could help, i tried to contact Dani.
He was always able to help...
If not contacting support would be another option for sure.

Sorry ben I don't have hope that support can answer this. THe person that added this to the new SKS should know. Not sure is Neil also improves SKS or someone else. As you know I have made many WB's. I'm asking this only because there has been 1 or 2 comments saying a skin was messed up either by making the res to 125% or more on they were on a 4k res.
In SKS 10 only not older versions there are actually locations added for high dpi images. So all I was hoping is that maybe Neil or someone from SD that may have the answer would pop in. I know of no other Skinner that has any idea what goes in those locations. I will just not worry about it anymore. Actually worry is not correct as it's not something I would worry about. Thanks anyway.

I don't know if this is any help, so I hope I am not wasting anyone's time. I have a very large monitor setup (everybody has their little excesses) .... a 2560x1600, 2 2560x1440, 1 1900x1250. When I run the new skins from neon6/Vampothika, etc., most of the segments don't line up in start menu and some window frames. They are skewed horizontally. These are skins by pros (mostly Master Skins) so I know they are not obvious errors. When I run the skin on the 1900 monitor (lower res) as primary .... no problem.
Hope this helps!

Wouldn't think sending this question to support would do any good so didn't do that and asked in a post. Not working either.
So here is a different view. Add this to the hi res question. Any monitor if you increase the size to 125 or more a skin will get messed up in many cases. So as mentioned above there are areas for every image to include while making a WindowBlind. If those additional images in SKS do nothing, does anyone know that for sure?
So does anyone actually know the answer to the question asked in the post?
