Windows 10’s Project NEON look might throw off users again

Microsoft is no stranger to design changes that incite an angry mob, from the new Start menu in Windows 7 to the Ribbon UI in Office to the Metro/Modern UI in from Windows Phone to Windows 8 to present. While it won’t be introducing anything as drastic as those, the so-called Project NEON design change could still ruffle a few feathers, confuse not a small amount of people, and question Microsoft’s usability principles

I'm using the Insider build 15031 and it has some really frustrating "features" already.
Let's hope that those frustrating 'features' do not make it into the finished product, then.
But then again, MS is notorious for including annoying, frustrating features, so I'll nay hold my breath.
Thank goodness for 3rd-party programs, is all I gotta say.... thank freakin' goodness.

I'm using the Insider build 15031 and it has some really frustrating "features" already.
But the 15031 is the alpha of the creators update, as far as i know it shall bring improvements/boost for gaming that one needs to activate first, but has nothing to do with the project neon visual stuff.
Could you name some of the frustrating features that bug you the most from the 15031 version?

They innovate without trying to find out what the users want. It'd be interesting to see if they did any marketing research on the Metro UI, or if was just someones 'good' idea.
Detroit had this problem when Ford unleashed the Edsel. It was a fine automobile, but no one wanted it.

Could you name some of the frustrating features that bug you the most from the 15031 version?
The one that bugs me the most today is the scroll bar on the Settings App: It's hidden by default and only appears as a SUPER thin line when the mouse is over the app and only gets large enough to use when your cursor is in the area it occupies. It's hard to know that there is more to the window you are looking at!

I have a program that does that and ya it is incredibly annoying. On top of that, the program brings out the scrollbar rather slowly, just to add a little extra aggravation I think.

That tiny super thin scrollbar seems to be coming into other Microshit products too, Skype for Desktop. The emoticons area is extremely hard to navigate, and there is absolutely no reason why they cannot make it bigger, in Windows 10 areas or Skype. Heck, the problem is even in Skype on Windows 7 and 8.1.

Exactly! Arrogant Microsoft treats its customers with contempt because it is the only game in town. I mean, it was stuffing Win 10 down the throats of people who clearly didn't want it, myself included, and often made it so there was no option to roll back, like it did to me and some others I know.
Any respect I had for Microsoft died that day.
