I'd like to take a crack at creating a couple of other skins that I have in mind, but they really require custom fonts to work.  One of the other things I enjoy doing aside from programming and graphics, is creating true type fonts. Most have been monospaced fonts, and I have done quite a few proportionally kerned fonts.

Matching a custom font along with a WindowBlinds theme would be great. I am unable however to use anything other than the Segoe UI font for some reason. Any help on what I might be doing wrong or if it is even possible with WindowBlinds 10, SKS 10, and Windows 10?

Apparently Windows 10 does not want you to change fonts. I did find some info on how to hack a change to system fonts for Windows 10 however. Involved some registry changes..

Not sure what your problem is here. SKS open Change skin fonts. You said all you can use is the Sugoe UI font. When the window opens after you click on change skin fonts in SKS its easy. On the open window just highlight any font on the left side and change it on the right side. Remember however if when you highlight it on the left side you see what its used for in SKS on the window on the right side. 

as far as adding fonts to windows 10. In the search area on the startmenu or in Cortana just type Fonts. Dowble click what it shows and do what you want to the fonts. You can add your own or delete them. Open SKS and add your own

You need to learn how to use this section in SKS first so I suggest you mess around with a skin you don't use or have a copy of to install again.

As far as the link you provided on windows-10-fonts. When a Windowblind is made the title, etc font and color are done using SKS. It isn't something WindowBlind is going to do. SKS will do about all of it but must be learned.

Here are some screenshots to illustrate my issue. I can pick other fonts, they just don't work. If I apply the theme to WB, the fonts do not appear. Any fonts. They all display as default system fonts.  To test, I altered every occurrence of a font entry to a non-system font (a TTF Fixedsys font displayed here). They will not display correctly, either in SKS or rendered in Win10 using WB. I've even looked in the text based config files for the theme in question to confirm there were no entries for Segeo UI.

^You would now have to go into each place a font is used and change it in SKS. 

Example for using windows 10. Open SKS. Edit Startmenu and Taskbar now click on Edit Start Menu. Go to the Right hand side, open Right hand side/Programs list. Look for state to modify. You want to modify both ((unused (ignore) At the bottom click on "Text" Where it says "Text font" use the drop down menu, find your font and click on it to load it. Do the same for Right hand side/Places list. This will have to be through SKS. To tell you exectly where to go for each area would take me hours. So will have to just go to each section click on text and the bottom of the window and try it.

REMEMBER: After every change don't forget to click apply. When you are done with the Startmenu you will see the change to your font.

There are also some fonts out there that don't play well with SKS/WB, try changing a font to one that comes with Windows and see if it works better, if not I have a feeling you have a corrupt install of SkinStudio. You are using the latest versions I assume.

I will try to download a WB theme that uses a costume font and try opening it in SKS to see if it's a bad install here.

I found it. Setting in WB. Style. Modify Style. Fonts. Do you want to override the font defined for this style? Seems all of my themes have an override there instead of using the font defined by the theme.

Great. Sorry I didn't even know that was available in Windowblinds. Just checked WB and found the setting. Nothing is checked for me so guess I never had a problem with any theme. Good to know however in case someone else has the problem.
