I just got off the phone with Wiz.

He's holding up pretty well, under the circumstances, yet, knowing him like I do, he's struggling inside, trying to be strong. He and Theda have known each other since grade school. They were childhood sweethearts. Such a romantic story......

He has a few nights off from his job, and is with Theda's family, they are taking good care of him.

He is a strong guy, he will persevere. Theda was his life.

Thanks to all of you. Wiz needs all the good vibes he can get right now.

The next few days will be rough, but he is strong.

We love you, Randy.

RedneckDude said that Theda and Wiz "...were childhood sweethearts...".  I do not know how we, as human beings, get over losing a loved one.  Personally, I know we never truly do. Love is such a strong bond.  How do we do it?  Move on, I mean.  I came to part of the answer, for myself, once.

You want to die.  The pain from your loss hurts that much.  Your loved one does not want you to take your life because they lost theirs.  To truly honor them and show your love for them you hang on!  ...and on! ...and on!  ...and on! 

That is how you show your love and how you honor them, you live through the pain.  Pain you don't think will ever go away.  And it most likely will not.  I mean, you loved them why should it?  But it will become something you can manage.  Your loved one wants that for you.  You will think of them everyday.  And that is how it will go.  Your life has changed, there is no doubt about that.  You have a new life now.

I did not know Theda nor Wiz.  But WinCustomize was a big part of my PC life.  I don't think I would have enjoyed home computing as much as I do without the community of people that makes customizing Windows possible.

I wrote this because the names RedneckDude, Wiz and others are very familiar to me.  All of you make what I like so much, customizing Windows, possible.  To read that one of the great customizers has great pain in their life made me want to write, to reach out.  You need people to acknowledge your terrible loss and make an attempt to be with you at this time.  Your time spent customizing Windows gave me good feelings so I am now trying to pass on good feelings to you.  And also to your friends who wrote to you in this forum. Perhaps something I wrote can help one of them also. Hang in there!

Thank you everyone. Theda was my life, my love and my center of gravity. I feel so lost and alone. The pain will slowly get better, but loosing her will always be the saddest point in my life.

I'm so sorry to read of your loss, Wiz, may you find all the peace and strength you need at this most difficult time.  Hopefully all the well wishes from everyone here at WC will help you find that peace and strength in abundance.

R.I.P. Theda, you were a treasure.

Oh Wiz.... I am so sad to hear of your loss... 

To lose her so unexpectedly just adds to the shock...

and to lose a soulmate from so early in your lives is just extra devastating..

You were so fortunate to have that close relationship and bond over your lifetimes that so many never manage to achieve and that will stay in your heart always.

You have about the largest family on the planet here... and we're thinking of you and feeling for you...

Thank you everyone. She sure loved having you all as friends on Facebook.It made her so happy that people she hadn't even met welcomed her so readily.

I don't do Facebook, having concerns about security and privacy, etc, but it's at times like this I regret having not gone there to get to know some people, and various other ones I do know a lot better.

My condolences. 

Randy, jus saw this and I am so sorry for the loss of your good friend and wife of many years. My heart and prayers go out to you for continued strength. We are all here for you always.
