I went and found a very funny audio clip of Penelope Keith's version of The Twelve Days Of Christmas for you all...
http://www.timegoesby.net/weblog/2012/12/christmas-day-2012.html
Just go the the linked page and scroll down Penelope Keith - And Yet Another Partridge In A Pear Tree. It is just an audio clip and is about 16 minutes long, but is well worth the listen.
Anyhow, Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it... and a Happy New Year.
For those who don't, celebrate Christmas, that is, Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year

Yup, and the same to you, Wiz, have a great festive season and a prosperous new year.
Oh, and people, here's another funny 12 Days Of Christmas Parody... However, it is just text and does contain some coarse language, so if you are easily offended please do not click on the link below..

Those people who start fires like that need 12 days of something else... and it ain't a partridge in a pear tree or a bit of slap n' tickle under the mistletoe. Frankly, given how firefighters risk their lives to put out those deliberately lit fires, the 12th day should end in something fatal.
This is always a bad time of the year for it, so I wish all the firies a safe holiday period and hope they spend the majority of it with their families, friends and loved ones, not having to take care of some nut's ill-conceived lunacy.

And the same to you Captn!!!
Thanks Barb, I shall, as do I hope your Christmas is special and joyous.
BTW, you're the only person thus far to comment on the funnies. I was hoping for a better response, not to mention some other contributions along similar lines. Oh well, it seems I'll have to hunt down a few more to liven up the place a bit more.

The others are getting really old and can't see well... that is probably the reason!!
Yeah, something like that.... and being profoundly deaf, too, didn't help.
You know you're old when you hear snap, crackle pop when sitting down to breakfast... and you haven't even put the milk on your cereal yet.
And the twinkle in your eye is the sun hitting your bifocals.
Worse still, is when you remember your first Christmas.... and asking the three wise men for directions to the stable.
