Fonts blurry and file explorer is black

This just started to happen. any window blind skin that is applied, my fonts are blurry and the window explorer backgrounds are back in file explorer. Currently using
Windows 7 Home Premium (7601.win7sp1_ldr.161011-0600)
WindowBlinds 10.5 (029 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS
Window titlebar blur features are enabled on this operating system

I created a new user account, seems to be resolved. That was very strange though.

I had the same problem after trying different skins one after the other. Neither a reboot nor a complete shutdown resulted in success. I had to restore my image backup from the previous day. The phenomenon has occurred only once.
OS and WB version are the same.
