REVISED Needing Prayers and Good Vibes
Brother On Life Support then dies.
Thursday, December 1, 2016 by RedneckDude | Discussion: Everything Else
My brother is in ICU on life support, prayers needed...he has respiratory failure, lungs full of fluid, high CO2 and low oxygen levels, very confused, and it seems he's been off his meds for diabetes, etc.
He smokes, eats too much, generally doesn't take care of himself.
They have him at critical status.
I would appreciate any prayers and well wishes.
EDIT: My brother is now gone. See my last post.

Thanks everyone. We'll heal. He is better off than we. He's with his Creator.

Sorry to hear of your loss, Jim, my condolences to you and your family.
Unfortunately, many of we men do not take proper care of ourselves. I am guilty of that myself, in that I don't always eat the healthiest things; do not get enough exercise; often putting off going to my doctor and other health professionals. I mean, if I'm really sick I'll go to the doctor, also to get my scripts renewed, but I don't always go for minor ailments that I can either tolerate or manage myself at home.... I just don't wanna be seen as a hypocondriac cos I'm visiting my doctor [almost] on a daily basis for every pain and malady I may suffer.
I am also a diabetic, but I never fail to take my meds for that, blood pressure and cholesterol... not to mention the ones for vertigo, chronic pain and depression. It adds up to quite a few pills per day... and it would be more if I took pain killers every time I felt an ache or pain. Nah, I'm tougher than that, and most often I'll ride it out, unless of course it gets too severe.
Yup, with the daily pills I take for this and that, if I jumped up and down I'd rattle.
One good thing I did for my health was to quit smoking. It'll be ten years on January 15th, being the night before since I last smoked.

Thanks everyone. Sorry I'm so quiet. Dealing with a lot here, and it seems we're having trouble with final expenses.
He has no plot, no insurance, not a vet, so no help there.....
It'll all work out.

So glad to hear that, Jim. I can't think of anything worse at such a time... having the stress of how to meet funeral expenses, etc.
As an old boss of mine used to say: Keep yer chin up and yer arse pointed to the ground.
