And .avi and quicktime with the right progs can be used as screen savers instead

I shall be wrong. I took some time and did some research. I've found that you can add quicktime to the background. I was curious on this. So, here is the deal. By what I've been reading. Only a MAC OS will do this. 
I wish windows did something like this. But since Apple and Mac go together, Quicktime doesn't act goofy on Mac OS. This is the only reason your able to make a quicktime movie your background on your desktop. And I bet you just want the link I have so far.

One other thing. For those windows people. I did find something but you have to really mess with some files to get windows to do it. Until I find a good instruction on that, I won't post it. If I find anymore I'll post them.

For WinBlows you can get a couple of things that are similar, both made by the maker of (the ultimate visualization plug-in) Geiss. You can get Drempels here http://www.geisswerks.com/drempels/index.html and/or Monkey here http://www.nullsoft.com/free/monkey/ both of which can run like having a screensaver as wallpaper. Very impressive, definitely worth checking out. Monkey has to be set in your WinAmp preferences to run in "desktop mode" for it to be like a wallpaper, Drempels can be used without WinAmp as a screensaver or again in "desktop mode" as a wallpaper.

since were talking about quicktime , how do you download on your hardrive those movie trailers off quicktime.com?
