WebBlinds

Thursday, April 10, 2003 by LonWar | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

OK, I installed this product, then I turned on Pop up blocker. I went to Fileplanet to download something and the pop up window did not show up. Ok, I disabled the pop up stopper and I still can't get it, It's saying something about a Java error.

I have reloaded IE6 and uninstalled webblinds and it still doesn't work. Anyone have the same problem?

If You want to get popups that open from a link, hold CTRL while clicking.

Yes I do also. A couple of months ago I installed WebBlinds and it worked perfectly for about 2 weeks. Then I started having problems logging onto the Internet.I really do not know what the problem was. I had tried to re-install 3 times without success. For now I have decided not to in-stall it. When it works, it works extremely well!!!

I have tried holding down the cntrl button. Does the pop us blocker touch the registry at all? I have uninstalled web blinds and am still having this problem. On a side note I did not have a problem prior to this??

Hmm, I only had this problem once after installing Picture Publisher 10. Thought it was WebBlinds first, too. I only could fix that by installing a patch from the Corel website. Did You install something else besides WebBlinds ?

I never bothered to mention this before and there isn't any traffic in the stardock newsboards but I too have had this issue. I had used Webblinds for a long time without problems but I think it began with WindowBlinds 3.9X. I kind of liked skinning the throbber and tool bar buttons but no big deal.

The pop-up blocker never did work as well as I liked and I've installed PopNot which works well.

FWIW, the newsboards are more likely to get the attention of someone with a solution to this issue - you may be better off there. news.stardock.com

I just dropped a note into the Webblinds group about this thread.

Ok, follow-up. Since WB 4 is out, I thought I'd reinstall and run WBB. Works fine now.
