So, this has to be the oddest, funniest, and just strangest thing I have seen from AVAST so far when it scans my PC.
What exactly is a 'decompression bomb' anyway?

If it were so 'finest' it wouldn't be claiming 'decompression bomb' on legitimate software...
I just renewed my Kaspersky...now on 3 machines so I could dump the junky AVs on the other two....one was Comodo...and the other....Avast...

A decompression bomb is a file that unpacks to an enormous amount of data - thus "flooding" the unpacking engine. It's quite hard to detect such files reliably, so it's possible that it gives some false alarms ocassionally.
