Moving User files to HD from SSD

Hi all,
I just got a new pc. I've used my old one for 5 years and it was time for an update.
My new PC has a 240GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. I would like to move my Users Folder from my SSD to my HD but I get an error when trying Cut from C:\ (my SSD) and paste to D:\ (my HDD).
The reason I want to do this is so my user files don't waste space on the SSD.
Can this be done? If so how?

Ya I did some searching and they are best left alone.

Hi,
yes and no.
If you do copy anything not without a backup.
Use midnight or total commander if you can. unstoppable copier is also not bad.
Don`t trust explorer exe only. It has its own bugs and honestly i would test personal data before copying and to copy hidden partition soecfifc user dependant system files on windows is a tiresome and almost or even impossible task.

Select the files you want to move but then use 'copy to', selcting the destination on the new drive. That way you'll still have your originals if anything goes wrong.
Once you are certain all your files are safely in the destination folders you can delete them from the original location.

The Users folder (and sub-folders) is part of the system so I would advice against it. Better leave it and just move the folders you have created yourself to your HDD.
