Freezing
Anniversary update
Monday, August 22, 2016 by gef | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
Hope someone has some good advice. I have windows 10 Pro and recently updated with the Anniversary update. Everything went well but my laptop now freezes occasionally. This can be at any time and whatever program I am using or even if I just try to open a folder. I know there could be many reasons for this but what is the best thing to try first or what would be the most likely cause. Any advice would be very welcome and much appreciated. This all happened before I re-installed all the Wincustomize programs, Start 10 etc. and it is still the same problem.

if something isnt running correctly and you have no clue what to do or why it happens, you can always go and run sfc /scannow.
SFC stands for system file checker that does scan for corrupted files.
Click Start button, type "cmd"
when done "Command Prompt" should pop up in the sreach list - right click it and choose Run as administrator.
Now in cmd type sfc /scannow
command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a copy, do not close the window until it is completed.
After the process is finished, you may receive one of the following messages:
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
This means that you do not have any missing or corrupted system files.
Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
To resolve this problem, perform the System File Checker scan safe mode and make sure that the PendingDeletes and PendingRenames folders exist under %WinDir%\WinSxS\Temp.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. Details are included in the CBS.Log%WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
To view the detail information about the system file scan and restoration, go to How to view details of the System File Checker process.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log%WinDir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log.
To repair the corrupted files manually, view details of the System File Checker process to find the corrupted file, and then manually replace the corrupted file with a known good copy of the file.
Could also be a VMemory issue
to check this you :
Click on Start and type "Performance" into the searchfield
Click on "Adjust the appearence and performance of windows"
Click on the advanced tab and click the change button on the Virtual Memory field.
Uncheck the checkbox Auto
Now highlight your Systemdrive
select custom size
Now set the recommended value shown at the bottom of the windows in both Initial and maximum size
Click Ok and Restart PC
If it didnt help you just reverse it by doing every step and set it to automatically again.
Since there is only so little information provided by you i will point you into the reddit thread where users experience the same problem:

I sadly do not have the time atm to read through it.
