WB4 expired? and I am current subscriber?

Whats going on? Iam a current Object desktop user and WB4 expired today leaving Leaving a raw shell and stuffing my C and D hard drives ?
My hard drives now thing they are music folders great stuff!! This is making me rethink about my resubscription in june!
can some help ! the support email will take acouple days
AND wasnt WB4 second released date yesterday March 31??

You may want to check out the WB development newsgroup. Do you have the latest WB beta release? I think WB RC1 was released with instructions to update to it since the previous versions expire April 1.

Use your newsreader to go to news.stardock.com. The various newsgoups are at that server address. Stardock's site used to have a link that would open your default newsreader and go to the newsgroups but I can't find it at the moment.

Exactly how did losing WB 'stuff' your drives?
BTW...WB has nothing to do with your 'shell'. THAT is Explorer.exe [normally, or perhaps LiteSTEP.exe, like me].
WB simply provides a skin interface for the Windows.
If you need more 'local' help...I'm in Melbourne...just grab my email...

Same here... If I look in my Component Manager it says there is a 3.99a build available, but after I've downloaded it when I try to install it I get a "use Stardock Central yada yada" message. Funny thing though, when I fire up SC my login fails AND there's no version there higher than 3.90 listed. I REALLY thought I'd waited long enough to go ahead & buy OD, but so far I'm WAY less than impressed. I bought a (half-assed) Toon-XP to go with my new OD. No cursors, no logins... wow, really worth paying for, eh? I noticed that the new "for sale" suite has all those goodies. Lemme tell all you admins something, I'll NEVER buy another product from any of the above mentioned rip-off artists. It seems to me like NOBODY has a phucking clue. I'm a very unhappy camper.

Phydeaux_3, sounds like you've got an old version of Stardock Central. Some of the older betas gave me trouble with not updating the list. Download this version:

(I think it's still there, I dl'd it a few days ago, fixed up all my update problems)
Toon-XP was released early in the WB4 betas, so that is why it probably didn't have some of the newer goodies. Just a thot.

My WB said it expired also. No big deal, just downloaded the new version. As I haven't put SDCentral on my machine Componet Manager did a great job downloading and installing it. If you have SDCentral on your machine you will get that use sdc. Well use it then. Used it on my other machine and it downloaded it and installed it without a problem.

Do these people realize they're using alpha and beta software?
I would put a notice all over everything were I stardock, that says "HEY, IF YOU'RE NOT ADVANCED ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THAT BETAS MIGHT EXPIRE, AND ALPHAS AND BETAS MAY HAVE BUGS, PLEASE GO AWAY."

some people just want full (bug free etc) products at the snap of their fingers not considering what kind of work and effort goes into it. only way to avoid it is to not release Beta etc and just keep quiet until its finished, but i myself and many others like to keep constantly up to date on releases knowing at the end of it all there is going to be a fully working bug free product that you've had the pleasure of testing. My main Beta at the moment is AOL 8, yes it has bugs and sometimes unreliable but thats the chances i take knowing my imput in Q&A's im given from them is going to make it almost exactly the way i want it.
Main point is either wait or agree the chances and quit whining when you know what unfinished things are going to be like.

Well dont you have an options part of the windowblinds program?
There you can change the options of the shell
