That portion of windows explorer is unskinnable, via Microsoft.  Believe me, Stardock has tried.

BUT, you can use OldNewExplorer to get rid of that portion.

use OldNewExplorer to get rid of that portion.
I think that the WinCustomize Website should have a Clear Visible link to OldNewExplorer  on the Front/Home page, also explaining what it does as far as getting a consistent/homogenous style of the WindowBlinds skins when applied.

-Not all, but most users don't want the "White bits"

Actually Jim that is a great link for information about OldNewExplorer and other tweaks, but it's hard to find the download link on MSFN for it. It is a lot easier to download from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/OldNewExplorer.shtml .

That's a pretty cool utility, RedneckDude!

I'm going to give it a try, thanks a lot for pointing out.

Andy, while that might be cool, I don't think WC is known for touting software made by other companies on the front/home page.  Just sayin.

Thanks for the better link, Tom.

This would be the occasion when that rule probably don't apply since it makes WB look the way it's intended.

Hence why I made a thread in Requests about that there should be a link to OldNewExplorer on frontpage of W.C.
