State of Origin 2016: Maroons ready to break more records
Thursday, June 2, 2016 by mrs_starkers | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
QUEENSLAND broke a host of records in the crushing win in the State of Origin decider last year and NSW should get set for more broken hearts in 2016.
Big Mal Meninga might have moved into the Kangaroos coaching job but the Maroons are more fired up than ever to build on a decade of domination under new coach Kevin Walters.
in saying that sydneysiders how are you for some toilet paper

A tiny proportion of 2 states in Australia actually cares about Rugby. Most Aussie idiots follow Footie instead.
Bit like 'World Series Baseball' where approximately 3 countries comprise the 'World'.....![]()

Actually, Paul, it's not rugby, but rugby league. There is a difference, not only in the rules but how many players take the field at one time. In league it's 13, and in rugby [union] it's 15.
Also, while NSW and QLd are predominantly the 2 main rugby league states, all states [including Victoria and both territories] have strong rugby league followings and support minor/local leagues outside of the NRL. In fact, South Australia and Western Australia had teams in the national competition back in the 80's, the Adelaide Rams and the Western Reds. Sadly, the administrators of the game at the time deemed both sides to be unviable geographically and thus they were cut from the competition. Hopefully the NRL can be expanded to include teams from these states again
As for the State of Origin, what a fantastic and gutsy Queensland win. NSW threw everything at them but the kitchen sink and still couldn't pull off a win.... and, as usual.... er, I mean always, the NSW coach and players blamed the refs, match officials and even doctors for the loss. Now I know what NSW stands for in rugby league terms: Never Stops Whining. I mean, seriously, what a bunch of cry babies, sitting around the pitch and bawling like that. Hehe, it seems the weekend fixtures will be called off due to a water-logged playing surface.
Q: Why is it the NSW Blues are sponsored by a Victorian beer [VB] instead of one from Tooheys, a NSW brewer?
A: Tooheys did sponsor NSW for a few years but tired of backing such a constant loser.

It is a variant of rugby... and is differentiated by the word 'league'. When the term rugby is used it usually refers to rugby union, which came first and is still the game most played around the world.

Haha, very funny... NOT! The fact that NSW has only won one series in 10 years [and only then cos they cheated and paid off the ref] is testament to Qld playing the smarter football and not going out there behaving like thugs and grubs. NSW.... a bunch of whiny assed cry babies whose nuts haven't dropped yet.

No, not bitter! Queensland won an unprecedented 8 series in a row, then NSW barely scraped home to win in 2014, even after cheating and paying off the ref, then Queensland totally flogged NSW in 2015, and will again in 2016.
So no, not bitter, just amazed they had the gall to play dirty to win one. Actually, I shouldn't be amazed, given they're a team of grubs who use knees, forearms and elbows to cause harm to opponents... their captain, Paul Gallen, being the worst of them.
Put simply, I don't like cockroaches [nickname for NSW Blues]. As for their coach, Laurie Daley, well I did have a bit of respect for him, but not after he blamed his team's loss on the referees, doctors, trainers and everyone else in the stadium. His whining after the game is not a good image for the league and I hope they fine him heavily for his criticism of the referees. Queensland won fair and square, simple as that.

Fuzzy Logic is still trying to develop a translation app (from Australian to English)...but your dialect and accent has broken (to date): Laptops, desk tops, tablets, smart phones (reduced to Morse code only), two Super-Crays, Watson and has resulted in the hospitalization of several members of Mensa who were found in bars mumbling and drooling like blithering idiots.
So...please provide a translation?
Thanks.
