Transparency...

Thursday, March 27, 2003 by GreatSilverWyrm | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hey, I have a quick question...
When I use a windowblinds skin with transparency features in it, or other programs that make things semi-transparent, it doesnt work right.

The things go semi-transparent, but then there are lines in the window, where there is nothing...if that makes sense to anyone...

Anybody have an Idea as to why this happens?

A graphics card problem maybe?
Do you have the latest drivers for your card?
Maybe you've enabled some openGI stuff that isn't compatible or something like that.
DavidK knows very little about how to solve graphics problems having been plagued with them in the past.

The problems I had before (years ago) all went away when I got an nVidia card and kept the drivers up-to-date.

Delicious is semi transparent

Radio buttons are cool. I looked for a radio at first but couldn't find one.

Transparency and translucency are not friends of PSP because PSP doesn't make the correct file. BoXXXi posted a good explanation on the use of translucency once and from memory it went like this: the file must be a 32 bit non compressed png graphic.
