Thank you

This goes out to anyone out there.
THANK YOU for figuring out Win10.
I don't post very often, I'm not tech savvy, and I wish I could contribute like all the talented skinners out there...
But again thanks.
I've been a member since 2003 and I look forward everyday to see what new stuff is out there.
Complaints generally out number compliments.
Respectfully,
dt

I have no complaints about anything Wincustomize related... skins, the skinners, the members, they're all great.
My only complaint ATM is about having to move to Windows 10, but I am using it now and starting to warm to it as I set it up more the way I want it. Who knows, I might even get to like it one day. I don't see it happening any time soon, but I am mellowing in my old age, so you never know.
Anyhow, add me to the chorus of the thankful who appreciate the great work our skinners provide..
Thanks all.

Don't hold yer breath, though. I gotta try to adapt to 10 on this little 2-in-1, but it's not through choice. I do, however, have Win 8.1 to go on 2 other machines, and I will do my darndest to prevent Win 10 forcing its way in on those rigs. I've been reserching and I may have found a solution... fingers crossed.

I second that Thank You. My life and computing experience has been richer and much more fun since coming to WC and meeting the members and using the awesome creations they come up with.
You won't find a finer group of people anywhere else on the web!

Just wait until the "free" period is over. I see no way they can force anyone to buy the OS other than dropping support for the older ones.

I would also like to add that the Wincustomize forum and emoji design is superb. It's the best looking forum I've seen and it also works great. (No messed up posts) It really makes a difference compared to dull looking forums.
The web became so ugly in recent years with touch-friendly and scalable sites. Wincustomize is one of the few really nice looking sites that are left. Maybe that's one reason people are friendly here. It's hard to be rude when you are looking at something beautiful...

Yeah, but that's still some months off and I want to complete preparing the machines for use. I do have a way I think will thwart MS forcing 10 on to those machines. If they are disconnected from the net during the 8.1 installation so it can't phone home to activate, I can download a pack of the most recent security updates from Majorgeeks on another PC. I then install them on the new builds, along with GWX Control Panel before connecting to the internet, at which point the activation process will take place so I'm legit. Hopefully this will circumvent MS' 'activation download' of Win 10 and Win 8.1 remains intact.
Now I just have to hope they don't read this and.... knowing the bastards they'd f**k me over.

Hope it works 'cause if it don't I'd like to be forewarned before the intercontinental ballistic, remote controlled starkers fart hits 'em.

Yes...that's simply a product of human nature.
People are far more likely to make an effort to voice displeasure than to do what you just did.
Thank you for that, BTW ...
