My apologies.

Thursday, March 13, 2003 by mattboy | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

I am sorry. Earlier this week i did something stupid and disrespectful. I basically thought i would be cool and steal someone elses wallpaper (which was very good) and say it was mine. I dont know why i did this. I feel bad after the fact though. I want to say that i am sorry to the author of the wallpaper. It is his work, he deserves all the credit for all the hardwork he put into it. Everyone has the right to be pissed off at me, so feel free to write all of your insults in this thread towards me. heh. So, yeah, faisal, i am very sorry. This will not happen again as i want to stay a part of this website so i can look at (not steal) everyones great work. My apologies everyone. Im so stupid.

Hopefully, today's incident will guide you in a totally new direction. You will be more proud of yourself inside when you know it is your own creation!!
Good Luck!!

lesson come hard some times, even harder when you realize it is of ones own design. But, hey, everyone alive is growing up until they are dead...

you'll do ok, but only you can ensure it... and yes it does take personal strength and a decorum of respect for others to not just cut and run, to face things as they come and still desire to be a apart...

anyway... back to lurking for me

Kudos to you, for making this public, you could have said nothing, and most folks would have never known. Bravo for that!

Now go forth and create something original............

Everyone deserves another chance to prove the words they speak are true.
In your case, I hope they are, we will see.

I say, let's not "burn the blasphemer" but allow him to prove himself, under very watchful eyes.

I take back what I said, now that I've done a bit of catching up on the board............. I didn't realize faisal had busted you, and started a thread about it.......... no kudos due! >

The public appology is a good thing, I'll give you that. Now behave yourself.............. no more ripping....

i agree with koasati.

Its one thing to apologize without any1 mentioning anythin'. But its something else to apologize after you get busted. I take back what i said earlier and put my hat back on

Allot of people were aware of the incident that happened today. It happened. It was DISHONEST don't get me wrong!!
I think mattboy posted his apology thread to truly apologize.I think he also posted his apology knowing that most people were aware of what had happened today, so with that go forth mattboy, learn from your mistakes(we are make them).Know the difference between right and wrong and create your own designs. You will be happier for it.

Hey mattboy, many of us have freaked out here and said and done stupid things and yet most everyone has always been willing to forgive us and let us try again to regain trust....
Don't ever try to rip someone else's work again, if you can't come up with your own, don't worry about it..
Just hang around and chat with the people here...
There are very many good and decent people on this site who are more than willing to help you in any way they can.
Enjoy the company and don't feel like you HAVE to contribute artwork...

Even thought it takes guts to apologize after a wrongdoing and earning respect out of it (in some cases)... this does not mean or promote the act of stealing just for the sake of apologizing.

Just making sure people understand that.
