that's all too confusing even for me , so I think I will let starkers do what needs to be done to it and I will just play and do what ever i need or want to do on it but I do need to find out if I can use apophysis on this one as I know my laptop don't like avast it kept blue screening and didn't like windows 10 .

I will test Apophysis for you and see if it runs okay. It should be fine, and there are several compatability settings I can use for best fit on Win 10.
Yeah, I did install OldNewExplorer for you, to make Win 10 look and feel more like Win 7.
For those considering its use, I recommend installing with Administrator priveleges for the best installation/usage. My first attempt was not too successful and the program did not properly hold its settings; however, everything was fine once I installed as Administrator.

Going off topic......decided to try OldNewExplorer on W10 and when I click on the .exe I get an error message that says it cannot find the path or some other and deletes the .exe. Then Panda lists it as a virus. I scanned it with Panda prior to clicking on it and it says no threat detected. That's got to be a false positive. Yet it will not install on W10. I even ran it as administrator. Sorry for the hijack.
It alters your system files...as I wrote back in comment #6...while it isn't strictly a virus, it DOES alter your system files. Maybe THAT'S what Panda is noticing?
