How do you handle put-downs on your work?

) is following me around (okay, it FEELS that way he-he) and putting down my new stuff I’m making like he’s god’s gift to animaton. It seems to me…some people truly have no conscience or concept or appreciation of ANYTHING. This guy is looking for perfection? Good luck!
! I see PLENTY of faults with my new stuff…I’m new at this…I’m trying my best and that’s all I can do until I polish my skills up. Uh…and on a personal note…I made a typo on my Shaman Cursor comments and wrote Starcock rather than Stardock when I was just waking up. I will NOT live this down now!
Sowwy, Frogboy…here I was…exclaiming the greatness of CursorXP and I fumble!

Poo, I say…
Anyway, I know everyone’s work gets bashed on this site and why should I be any different, right? Right! It just sucks when people try to filibuster you with bad voojoo for no apparent reason other than just being a sore-sport!

---End of bitching---
(((((hugs to everyone))))

i make use of these comments to better my work.
You could have someone who is jealous of your creativity etc, until he can produce amazing things in everything he does i'd take no notice and continue to plod on. your doing a great job, don't worry about it

I noted what you are talking about Shmoopy and it did seem that you were singled out by Tombo..err..Poo-Head.

Geez...a word of praise if ya like something, but I noted picking apart of things that didn't exist as if the cursor was bug ridden (which it's not at all!) Anyway, if I'm gonna comment on something it's gonna be a complement and words of encouragement. I won't bad mouth anyones work no matter who they are or what the artwork is. ...but there are always those who look a gift horse in the mouth and complain. If ya don't like it..no one is bending your arm to download it. So don't be a baby and complain about someones hard work that you are getting for free and that you just might not care for. Beauty is in the eye of the
beholder.
Hope I didn't make any embarrassing typos!

Mr_Ph00ey2u hopes Shmoopy's Hap's gets better soon!

That was a very helpful comment. If the circle animations jump a bit you might not realize it unless someone tells you (ok, that would be pretty noticable but usually those kind of tips are extremely helpful). The text thing too... another helpful comment. The guy couldn't have been more polite about it!
Things sure have changed over the years in skinning. Comments like this would be considered very welcomed by an artist. You wouldn't believe how rude and unhelpful comments used to be (frequently) and on some sites, still are.
give me a break... this was NOT a put-down.
Phooey... get a life buddy

DavidK, I know you're an wizop and all...but you need to ease up on use mere mortals who are just starting out. Stardock doesn't pay me...and many people actually LIKE my cursors...AS IS. Is that bad? I hope not.

I agree with both the points made in the comment (especially the large text I-beam) but it's not something that would keep me from using them.
Shmoopy, nobody turns out 'perfect' work. Even treetog will occaisionaly have some little bug in his work ( but never Alexandrie, she is perfect
) My point is it's not considered a criticism or a put down to point out stuff like that, it's actually what we try to encourage in comments. Your cursor set is really fine, exceptional job you did on it, and so far, no one has said anything to the contrary.
