Help with DesktopX

I'm Run DesktopX and when i put up themes my start bar keeps on poping up when it shouldn't be there at all.

that is the seting that makes it happen bacouse it was checked

please help me I am a novice computer feind I recently found this site and I love it but I am having problems I have windows xp and when I download the files it says file not recognized please tell me how to get past this ....Bigfather >
