Corel owns Bryce now - and there isn't a trial version. Sorry.

If it's the landscape type stuff you're wanting - I'd recommend Terragen.

Naw the best hands down landscape program is MojoWorld. They have a trial version over at http://www.pandromeda.com/ I would recommend Bryce simply because yes you can do the sphere in between the rotating tori but it also has an impressive landscaping ability. The reason why people think other wise is because really there aren't that many good ones here at WC...including myself I would say to go with Bryce...............Don't get anything lower then Bryce 4 since at that point in Bryce history the entire look and feel of Bryce was redone. More export functions making it compatible with other 3D programs.....the sky lab was made into it's on area instead of the dialog box it used to be in the previous versions. I could go on and on but hands Bryce is better then Terragen overall but not as nice as MojoWorld

Mojoworld is awesome but expensive, about the same price as Bryce I believe...
here's a small example of Terragen...

MojoWorld only costs $249 buckaroos and Bryce 5 is even better at $169 with a special going on right now. Dang I wish I could have bought it at the price....

Did you get a lot of pop-ups, Green_A?

My firewall kills all of that....

I had that link elvee. the problem with that link is the download MUST be completed at one go. So, you can't use stuff like Gozilla, Getright, etc. Resuming the download is not supported.

And yes, Jim, I had TRIED downloading the trial version of Bryce to see what the hullaboo is all about. Didn't work, so I am back to rendering on Bryce.

Guppy, I know that this is a Bryce thread, but I'd like to tell u about POVRay. Its a freeware and should work as good (if not better) than Bryce (though I've never used Bryce). Its available at http://www.povray.org
