Adds on Home Page, Why?

Why am I getting a pop-up for 75% off games every time I open the wincustomize site? I do not play games and even if I did it is annoying. If I use adblock plus for the wincustomize site it screws up my home page. The other thing is I was under the understanding that as a subscriber you do not get the ads. What is the solution to get rid of the ads? I am not impressed Stardock would be doing this sort of thing.

Well you beat me to the post. I was waiting for a few days to see if it stopped but it hasn't.
It just isn't a popup it's a full page thing. Have to click "continue to site or the X on the right side. Pain in the ass actually and don't understand why when you are logged in you have to get this as a subscriber. I already received an email on the same thing. So I understand not everyone is getting this but I only asked one other person. Don't know how long you have been receiving it but it's about 4 days for me.
Really hope someone gives us a good reason for this.

I use Adblock Plus here JC and just exclude WC in the settings which fixes the homepage issue. As far as an ad popping up, not getting that at all here. Anyone else getting the popup ad?

I actually have adblock disabled for the site and that is the reason I am getting the popup. I suspect that if I was to enable adblock I would not get the pop-up but then my home page is all wonky.
Dave I also have had it for 4 days.

Used to get the scrolling WC ad's on home page but not now as I put on adblock plus.

If I use adblock plus for wincustomize my home page has no images at all. I cannot see any new gallery submissions.

Actually add block did get rid of it for me but like you it makes the entire page look messed up. So I don't want to use it.

Yeah, me too. Very irritating and I am very disappointed in WC for doing this.
I thought NOT getting ads was partly the reason for my subscription fee? If this keeps up, there will be no more renewals for me. It's atrocious.

I get their email and get almost nothing but game email which I don't play. I don't mind the email as delete it once and it's gone. This pop up comes up every time you open WC. They could make a thread and pin it to the top on the left side under "Latest News" if they want to advertise on the mail forum.
Oh well enough said from me as there is nothing I can do about it.

By the way this is more than just your small little typical ad that shows off to one side or in a corner, it is a large pop-up that takes up most of my laptop screen that I have to close every time I open the site.
