Complete Mac OS X Overhaul for Windows

Wednesday, February 26, 2003 by kona0197 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Hey Everyone. How would I go about, step by step, changing windows me or xp to LOOK, FEEL, and ACT like OS X? I have no clue where to begin. I have a friend who has a XP machine and when you hit the power button, a apple logo comes on then when everything boots up it looks and feels and acts just like a mac. Thats what i want.Any ideas?

Thanks Adam Solley. I've heard awsome things about your skins. But what I need to know is what programs do I need for the taskbar, dock, icons, and such and how do I go about downloading, installing and making them run together nicely?

OK thanks again I will try it. With winstyles do you have to have every other program? But that only solves half of the problem. When we all start up our machines, we see that annoying windows XP logo with the little green or blue scrolling bar... telling you windows is loading. I want to change that to a blue apple (like you would find in OS X) with a scrolling black line or a message such as "Welcome To Mac OS" My frind did it. How can I?

That's changing the boot screen, isn't it? That's trickier I think. Someone posted a link here I think before, perhaps you might find something at this site to help with that?

What You Need to Make a Good Mac OS X Emulation on you Windows XP Computer is:

1.A Winamp/Windows Media Player Skin.
2.A Mac OS X Object Bar
