XWidget - how do I use the More Widgets tool to search by category
Wednesday, September 16, 2015 by gevansmd | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
As far as I can see I can only use the tool to scroll through a random list of widgets, completely uncategorized. Is there something I'm missing? It took mew quite a bit of scrolling to find a calendar widget I liked. It would be nice to just search for all widgets pof a certain type and scroll through just those rather than all.

I end up doing a Google search on whatever I'm trying to find. And one more thing, the minimize button doesn't work. You can maximize or close but no minimize.

I gave up on XWidget. For whatever reason they don't play nice on my machine. Never have.

xWidgets work well on my PC and I like how configurable they are.

If you want to do a search for a specific type of xwidget you are better off going to the xwidget gallery at deviantart http://www.deviantart.com/browse/all/?q=xwidget and enter your search in the white search box for xwidget, (not the search box for the site)

Thanks JC, that's where Google usually sends me. You'd think the search would be built into the app itself.

Yeah that was an oversight when it was developed. Hopefully a future update will implement that option.

Ahh yes. I too would love to know this. As far as i can see there is no category section. You just have to scroll through page after page of widgets. Quite an oversight if you ask me. I hope i am wrong or blind or sumthin and someone can point it out
