As a newbie, I had to face a lot of rejections (trust me on this, I mean a lot when I say a lot). So don't be disappointed. I'll tell you something that Sir WOM told me, something that helped me a lot.
Don't try for that perfect skin that will please everybody, such a skin doesn't exist. If you aim for that, you'll end up pleasing nobody, not even yourself. Try instead to create skins for yourself, art that is an expression of your own self. And such work is bound to succeed.
