I made my first WindowBlind last night

Monday, February 24, 2003 by Keila | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

It really turn out great, loved the color.

The only problem is that I was sleeping.
Keila is awake now and still does not know how to make WB.

BoXXi, there are software that allows you to recover deleted files. Active-undelete is one of them. It's 20$, but it might be worth the expense to save 2 month worth of work: http://www.active-undelete.com/

I am looking for the skin but can't find it anywhere.

Did you upload it, K.

B. I had that happen to the skin I just uploaded and never got it back to the one that was deleted. It has been an Achilles heal ever since and never came close to as good as the one deleted.

Good luck if you try and duplicate it. WIsh you a better memory than I have.

Sorry, it's not 20$, but 30$. It might still be worth it.

There is also Undelete. Same price: http://www.executive.com/undelete/undelete.asp

Delicious, I was dreaming the whole thing. But you know now that I think of it, it's not really fair that I woke up before I got to upload it. " Dreamblinds.com"

Having received my OD in Dec, and before I found WC, I had three ideas for WB's. I found them all in WC when I got here. My first, BoXXi - Carbon Fire, second was Crumbuts - Heavy Equipment, and third was (?) but I think it might have been Treetogs Copperdeck, no - just kidding on that last one, but it might have been something on the order of Synapse as I was thinking FLAT.
OH well, I could not have out done any of them, but watch out, one day.

Oh! I know you have been working on a wb skin for awhile and put two and two together and read between the lines instead of the actual lines of your comment.

The wb critics are getting harder to please and the skin is getting harder to make. TIme to jump on the wagon and enjoy the ride

I gave up on trying to make a WB skin pretty quick. Sometimes I really have to be in the mood to learn something new and with the case of WB I seem to have some sort of mental block. Maybe someday.

ouch BoXXi, was it on an NTFS partition or Win32?

reason I ask, if you haven't really done anything extream afterwards, you might be able to recover it...

Ontrack (the old DiskManager creators) has a funtional demo that very well might be enough to snag your skin back, and it would be a good test for the program at the same time

IPlural: see my post and his reply.
If he overwrote the file, I'm afraid it's gone, no?
