You can make one in notepad and then add the extension ".SSS" to any subskins.
Here's an example of the lines in an SSD file:
[SkinStyles]
Number=2
[SkinStyle0]
Name=Alien Silver Plus
Skin=alien_silver.uis
[SkinStyle1]
Name=Alien Silver Basic
Skin=alien_silver_UIS1.sss

When the original skin is finished open the UIS file in notepad and copy/paste that into a new text. Change the name in the personality to Cowpond skin or whatever and save that as a .SSS file.
Make a new blank text and put into it ..
[Skinstyles]
Number=2
[Skinstyle0]
Name=Original UIS
Skin=Original.UIS
[Skinstyle1]
Name=Cowpond Skin
Skin=Cowpond Skin.SSS
Save that as a .SSD file
All this goes in the original skin folder. Make the new graphics for the cowpond skin and save them in the same folder.
You can add more cowponds by just adding skinstyle 2, 3, 4 etc.
