When someone posts a message to a thread, that thread moves to the top of the message board's thread list.

People often use the word "bump" when they don't have a particular message to add to the thread but want the thread to be moved up to the top of the list so that the thread will catch they eyes of other people.

It doesn't have to be the word "bump" it could be anything.

crissy14, there's been a notorious spammer that has 'haunted' the board...so jake is just lookin' out for ya. I took mine off the board too...better safe than hate-mailed.

Spamkiller filters the jumk, lets you look it over without opening it or downloading it and you can either recover it or delete it, send an email adddress error so they think the email address isn't real, or even trace it back to them and send abuse complaints all the way from your ISP to their ISP and everyone who handled it...

ISP's do something everytime because spam can and will get them put on black lists...
For one thing..

If it is a webmail account, it can also be traced and addressed accordingly through your ISP's abuse link

jake ! I question if spam ever really lived and if so where do the keep the critters? Anyone ever been to a spam ranch?

crissy, same goes with web sites and irc, you should create yourself a hotmail, msn, or some web male account to use for registering on web sites or giving to others, just another personal safety measure to consider...
