getting icons back

Just uninstalled icon packager in anticipation of it not working in windows 10. I will re install after I know it works. The problem is my taskbar and program icons now just show a blank page icon. Is there a way to get my original icons back?

Try one or both of the fixes found here. https://forums.wincustomize.com/436401/page/1/#3490071 It's titled as a Windows 8 fix but this issue has been around since the Vista days and also works on Windows 7.
The RegEdit fix has been used with great success.
