Why minimized windows direct to system task bar?

Friday, May 29, 2015 by ofuroinu | Discussion: WindowBlinds

I am on trial version and want to make sure before I buy.

Whenever I minimize any windows it goes straight to system tray on the corner but not to the bottom tray. Which is very annoying.

If I disable the windows blinds it become normal. Tried changing the skin but still the same.

What should I do?

Please advise

Thanks

Ken

I'm not really familiar with the trial version at this point but try this:

Open up the WB Configuration (what you open to change the skin).

Click on the "Settings" button.

On the main "Settings" page there is an option, see if it's checked, if it is uncheck it:

"Windows should minimize to the system tray instead of the taskbar"

Not directly within WindowBlinds, but there is no need.  That is handled by WinStep Extreme (specifically NextSTART, Preferences/General, "Allow NextSTART to replace the Windows taskbar").  Checking that option should use the NextSTART taskbar and Start Menu regardless of whether or not WindowBlinds is loaded.
