I don't need a special day to remember those that have died for this country, they are on my mind everyday. I can't watch a war movie without tearing up. As a 20 year retired veteran that's been there, I say sorry and thanks.

Yes...well, my family has been in all the wars, from before day 1 ...and served, I chose a different army to serve in, but everyone who serves or served are my brothers and sisters forever.

I have a few family members serving, and that have served. There is a special place in Heaven for those who serve.

Couple of weeks ago we in Oz [and NZ] 'celebrated' 100 years since Gallipoli .... a battle which changed our countries forever.
It was the sort of conflict that saw 9 Victoria Crosses earned.
That is a phenomenal number for one action.
The origin of the 'ANZAC' tradition.
