skin studio & bitmapped fonts

I'm just curious. Maybe I've missed a text file somewhere. A readme, or an entry in the help, or on a newsgroup or something, but...
Is it just some weird quirk with my system, or does Skinstudio seem to be incapable of displaying bitmapped (as opposed to TrueType,) fonts in the preview window?
It's starting to be a pain - the font that does display (arial,) is sometimes nowhere /near/ the size of the actual bitmapped font.

It's starting to drive me nuts, that's for sure.

One thing I have started doing with my skins is setting font attributes everywhere it's possible to do. There are some great looking skins spoiled by crappy little fonts.

And could explain why so many skins have miniscule fonts that are completely illegible...
