How to set to get a correct rollup displaying ?
Monday, May 4, 2015 by neophil78 | Discussion: WindowBlinds
Hi everyone, i'm back over here after a long while and because i'm now using Seven Pro (64 bits)
I'm running latest Windowblinds V 8 and get a problem i don't manage to solve on some skins (all vStyler ones
) with displaying uncorrectly the rollup windows (in per-pixel mode) like :
I get also similar problems with Andromeda and StripePoker skins on both left and right sides
I knew how to fix that under XP while not using per-pixel frames, but can't mange do it with Seven, aero, per-pixel and so on
Thanks for help

Yep, set the left and right top and bottom paint margins to 0 or 1, but like vStyler said, but it will ruin the look of the skin because of a fault in SkinStudio 8 and/or Windowblinds 8.

Though i think you're talking about top and bottom margins for left border and right border images in per-pixel section ?
I set them to 0 in Agenda and bring the correct rollup size to 44 (height of top .bmp + height of bottom .bmp + 1) with a text Editor (skinstudio even V 8 don't save the value
) and the look is not broken at all, it's just the way it should be
I'll try on both other skins with similar method and i told you
Thanks for the tip

Just mentioning. caption height + bottom height = roll up size.
Using a 0 paint margin can create issues, I've found that the minimum paint margin is best at 1.

Always thought you were a Master
yea, okay.
It's getting more difficult to offer help as I'm only using the previous version of everything. Hesitate to respond as I don't have Win8.
I've been using roll-up buttons on most of my recent blinds and they seem to work okay?

I get another main trouble apart to choose between 0 and 1 value (well i set them to 1 indeed
) :
1°) If i just load a skin with WindowBlinds 8 and then right click on the title bar (whatever setting i have in WindowBlinds settings panel for "action to take" set as "use skin setting" or "rollup/down window" everything's ok and first right click rollup correctly with the rollup size defined as caption height + bottom height and second right click unroll the window.
BUT if i reboot the PC and open any window, 1st right click rollup but with a superior size, second right click unroll the window, but then any click inside the window, even left clik or right clik, is rolling up it again
; then if relaunching the skin with WindowBlinds things are going back correctly
Any idea of what's going on ?
N.B: running Seven Pro 64 bits / WindowBlinds 8.12
P.S: i also get troubles with per application settings : impossible to define Windows Live Mail 2012 (for example) to be unskinned
P.S 2 : i also get major troubles with CursorFx 2.16 (Control Panel always stop responding as soon, or nearly, as launched - i'll open another thread for that)

UP
No idea for 1°) and P.S anyone ?
P.S.2 : i've fixed the trouble with CursorFX, it was due to some old .cursorXP theme which made (i think) a too big "preview". Though i had to re-download all themes collected since years

U have to set the margins at 0 or 1 Neo..
Unfortunately it will make the skin look like crap.
No other way around it.
Rollup is pretty much broke now unless u make very plain frames that the margin set at 0-1 doesn't affect the frame itself.
U can have one.. or the other, but not both. You will see what i mean when u set to 0 on top and bottom.
