Anti-troll 101

Dear members:
These are not cyber-war tactics (
)…these are just common sense/courtesy/decency type tactics that if properly deployed could do this forum a world of good:
When a troll starts a thread:
IGNORE IT. Don’t respond…it just PERPETUATES the thread no matter how good your intentions because you bring the ‘troll’ thread back up where it certainly doesn’t belong.
REPORT it: Rather than responding you can right click on the ‘mother thread’ link and save the link and forward it to an Administrator whom can remove the link if it’s repugnant or rude etc.
REMEMBER: A troll wants attention…ignore him…and he leaves…keep giving him a trail of crumbs and he’ll follow.

Here's a poem I wrote in 2001
Titled, Last rite
I tasted her tears on that cold, stone hearth
Streams of pain that once pelted her part of earth
Mirrored tears that sprung from agony’s ample well
On still moist ashes, salty droplets that fell~
There was no mercy in her solemn attempt at belief
Eyes so blurred in her sightless, mindless grief
I can still feel the pulse where she once did mourn
A heart so aching, so stricken and forlorn~
I still hear the echo of her haunting breath
I still hear her pleading to be put to death
Her visage appears as a mist before my eyes
Then vanishes before I’ve had time to realize~
The crystal reflects her but then disappears
Like a star that has died but nobody hears
Whispers for ears she is longing to find
The faintest of thoughts that float in her mind~
Her words pierce my soul as they tear me apart
Mortally wounding my still beating heart.
I am stained in her blood, tainted indeed
Soaked to the skin in the place she did bleed~
My cowardice tries to back me away
So that I can’t see her so lifeless and gray
But her pale body glows like a cruel, cheerless light
As she beckons I read her the very last rite~

Iben, shmoopy used to struggle with her suicidal tendencies...she was confronting herself on many levels...
Angel_Wings has scars as reminders of how she used to be...she's glad she's not that mixed up girl any longer.

Every day...you turn on the 'boob tube' it's negative and sad and I want to remind folks that there is still goodness and decency and hope.
