To Vagrant Frogboy And everybody at wincustomize, and Stardock, and all the creative Giant brains that made wincustomize and Stardock a reality.
This was posted at Download .com

By me Jeff Schuyler (AKA Iben)
Download .com might not ok this and put it up but it is the truth.

I'll try to be Short so people will read this.
In September 2002 I was searching the net and local computer stores for a way to customize my computer, to make it mine. My search lasted two weeks, with a lot of deleted programs, that didn't do what I wanted, or just did not work right. Also a lot of websites where I had to buy and could not try the stuff first.
Then I tripped into wincustomize where I could Download for free, Skins for programs I already Had. It was a dream come true. Then I noticed there were Skins for programs I didn't Have, with links to get The programs, so I could use the Skins. They made it so easy.
So I downloaded windowblinds free and tried it for five minuets. It was so good, I Went right back on line to buy it. Then I saw I could get Object Desktop:Network Edition for $49.95.
I didn't even know what it was but windowblinds was so awesome, And it came with so I figured How could I go wrong for $50 cheap. So I got it. With Component Manager (came with) I downloaded all the programs. It was so easy.
I was up all night playing.
Object Desktop came with a Host of programs for customizing every pixel of my computer.
It was a lot to figure out (cause I got so much for my $50) but I took it a program at time. It was fun.
Sure maybe there were a few bugs but all computer programs Have Bugs, Nothing that I could not easily deal with. All and all the programs worked remarkably great!!!!!!!
I won't list all the programs it takes to much Space but I love them all.
Then I went to wincustomize and downloaded skins to my Hearts content for free.
At wincustomize they have wallpaper and skins by the thousands all made by artists with endless talent, My Hat is off to all the artists that toil to make these skins, And get maybe a good word once and a while as a comment left by a very Happy computer user. Also at wincustomize they have a message board where you can get Help and questions answered 24 Hours a day 7 days a week.
By Really patient people.
They are always eager to Help Every body even people who don't deserve It!!!!
So on a scale of 1 to 10 I give wincustomize and Stardock and all who made it possible a rating of One thousand. Thats the truth no BS.
Sincerely Jeff Schuyler

Elvee you're as bad as me! LMAO!

Angel_Wings always wants to correct herself after the fact to show that she SAW her mistake and didn't MEAN it. hehe

Now I don't know what looks sillier...fixing it or just hoping it doesn't get noticed and leaving it. Hmmm. Next poll?

My first memory of WB was, "HOLY Sh*T! THIS ROCKS!"

Elvee...so true! I remember how tiny that prog was too way back then!

Then OD was born and that was even cooler!

I think the problem with most of the *cough* complainers about WB are non-registered users who fall into two groups:

A: The group that uses the freebie-tryout version

&

B: The 'WAREZ' users...

And I highly suspect that the Warez users are the ones who do the most complaining.

YAY! (Thanks for the greenlight...)

Okay...well. You know how some art is well...definitely 'art' but not really fit or suited to be in the category of 'desktop art' in the sense that the colors might be too funky or the art is too well... 'artsy' etc? So, I finished a recent work that I'm not sure would really be good as a desktop and I'm hemming and hawing over if I should submit it to WC.

Soooooooo...can you check it out? http://www.darkseraphim.com/ds/art/Deep_reflection.zip

I appreciate whatever critique you have (don't be afraid to blast with both barrels if you see something that looks bad). TY

TY Iben My concept was...to 'see beyond the surface' with your mind...and to go as deep into your psyche as you can.

Wow! Angela! This is deep and is definitely Art, I think it is incredible! The face draws you in looking at taking the focus of the whole piece. To be honest with you, I see sorrow and pain. In my opinion i think that this piece would be better suited for Art Sites like DeviantART and others. I could be wrong with the views of others here, because like i said, This is incredible art.
