If you haven't heard it, I'd recommend the Weddings Parties Anything version of "Barrett's Privateers", which is on on their "They Were Better Live" album if you can find it/Youtube it. I'm posting this before I hear your Stan Rogers version, so at worst it's 2nd...

Being from the same place Stan is from I love his music. I have 6 of his albums which are hard to find and I might have posted some of his music in the "Favorite YouTube Videos" thread. Even though this thread is about music it is not exactly in the same genre as Stan's music seeing how he was a Folk singer. That being said I am assuming that they put a rock spin on it so it will fit well here.
I am about to check out your recommendation now. Thanks.
I just tried to find it on YouTube with not much luck. On the Weddings Parties Anything page they have the video but when I click on their videos I get the "Video not Available" message. Do you have a working link?

Magic ages: Ian Anderson (Jetro Tull) was 22 years old on 1970 and 22 was Carlos Santana on 1969 at the Woodstock Festival

Can't believe I haven't noticed this thread going on under my nose for this long!
Here are a couple picks
The first mixes a couple favorites of mine:
The second brings back a bittersweet memory of being at the concert the last night of SRV:

What a great thread! Pretty sad some of the links are no longer good. I've been listening to a lot of the songs in this thread with my Dad recently, most recently quite a bit of Ten Years After.
He still has many of the records he purchased from when they first came out, across a pretty good range of rock, blues, and folk. Still sound incredible for being nearly 40-50 years old, playing on a Technics turntable from ~ 1980.
