That is exactly why it shouldn't be publicized, but there should be a script, or query that the admins can run periodically to compile a sampling of rating trends.

Then they would know and could address issues as they came up.

It is the act in which a person makes use of the rating system as a means personal attack that is the issue needing to be addressed. Not someones ability to flame anyone for any reason, though I do admit on a personal level seeing or even giving a verbal thrashing could/would relieve personal tension and anger for someone doing such a thing. But flame war's, members being put upon by other members, those are things which need to be dismissed from consideration as a positive means to deal with such butt munches.

Consider this, Flames, member retribution either secular or in mass, are these not most likely a basis for someone to misuse the rating system to begin with.

anyway... just my wackybobo opinion...

I mean this place is what *we* make of it,not them, not those others, and no matter who it is that takes a dump in the middle of the living floor, or for whatever reason, there is still a stench and a pile to consider.

hope everyone has a fantastic week

BoXXi !

You posted as I typed to post I kind of figured there would be such a query at hand for use, site administration is site administration, be it for a corporate DB, Network or Web Site after all and higher higher is always interested in numbers even when some might not see the need for them.

Even if what BoXXi says is true, I think there sould be a flag raised when someone gets rated a 1 or 2, put on a seperate report. That would be a lot easier to detect and faster to see and address.

There is an expectation when people reach a certain level in WC that they will behave in a responsible manner. Sadly this isn't always the case. Anyone caught deliberatly marking down skins out of spite should be exiled instantly. Not only is it petty and childish, but is also a serious abuse of position.

Fuzzy, sad to hear that for the most part, but glad they caught the reason for needing this to happen before it was too late. Also happy at the advancements in skill and technology for such operations and the process of successful full recuperation.

I know everyone here will be thinking of you with concern and care, even though we do not know each other very well at all, the same goes for/from me.

My mother was passing out, dizzy and stuff off and on for about 3 months, then one day backing out of her driveway she blacked out and ended up backing into the yard across the street and into a tree. Seems her heart beat would flutter and then miss a few beats, long enough for the lack of 02 to cause her symptoms. ANyway, she was rushed to the hospital and they called all of use together and then they operated on her. She looked really bad going in, but looked better than she had in a long time afterward, and I mean instantly. They had put a minnie pace maker that sits under the skin on her chest and has a wire the runs to a probe that sends a little zap to get her heart rate back to normal when the sensors tell it to.

It has been 4 years? now and she is more active and feels better than she had for 10 years leading up to the operation.

We will all be waiting to hear from you many with their hearts on their shoulders...

I can't see them, but that's what the admins are. They're not worried about pissing me off, that I'll have you know. They know where I stand with a lot of things. The admins have my support on exiling people who downgrade work, and if I fought for a reason to unexile, and they come back and said "hey Elffie, I know you fought for this person, but this person did this..." I am not going to cry for my lost cause, but rather, I will email them with a rather supporting response for the admins.

Harsh, but these are people's work, whether it be Jafo's or whether it be JM's or whether it be treetogs. Some are strangers, some are friends, but work is work, give them what they deserve.

exactly so Elfkura

mutual respect of the process, time expended, what is put into the process

yeah...

mm, just so everyone does know, I do not direct anything I post at any specific person unless I directly pick them out and address the post to them by name. I also know that I am no better than anyone else in all respects, we're all human after all, but each deals with things in a different manner that seems to work for them.

anyway...
