Is it me or are most Winamp3 skins...

It seems that most, if not all, of the Winamp3 skins are either good or very good in quality and design. Has anybody noticed that?

Well, I think that has to do with the complexity of skinning WA3. The photoskinners and casual "toss one together in a day or so" skinners don't seem to have the skikls / patience / aptitude to skin all that WA3 offers. There's like 5 million images and 63 pages of XML...

Dangeruss notes he hasn't skinned Winamp 3 for the above reasons.

skikls = skills... Who put those keys so close together?

yes I noticed the amount of XML there is in it. but it doesn't have to be image heavy. I think afi-cola amp is a good example of a few bitmas and png's. the code is still rediculous though...

I guess you have a point there Dangeruss

Frankly, I just looked and theer are 10 Winamp 3 skins in our library. I'd say it's about 50/50: 4 skins are very good, about 2 are OK, and about 4 are sub-standard, IMO. There is even one I would qualify of "photo skin".
