Iconpackager and W2k

Is Iconpckager compatible with W2k? I just tried 2.0 and the icons that had transparency came up horribly.

Iconpackager does indeed work with W2K. However as you've seen, icons specifically made to take advantage of XP don't display nicely on W2k. This is unfortunately a limitation with W2k not a problem with iconpackager

Yes IconPackager is compatible with Windows 2000.

However, you were most likely trying to use Windows XP icons with it; unfortunately these are not compatible with Windows 2000 since W2k does not have the ability to display 32bit icons (with the 8 bit alpha transparency).

Windows XP icons only look like they were intended to, on XP only. On any other Windows OS they will have black 'corruption' around the icon and not display correctly or reliably I'm afraid.
