Activating old WindowBlinds
Sunday, March 8, 2015 by Badgename | Discussion: WindowBlinds
Hopefully someone can help me with this problem:
Following some repairs to my computer I lost several OD programs and had to reinstall them. In the process, WindowBlinds cleared all the ones that were installed. I managed to download most of them again, but some old ones that are no longer available were lost too. I have the "file folders" of them backed up but they don't have installers. Any way to convert the old files to activate? Maybe using SS?
Thanks for any suggestions.

Not sure about this, it's been a long time but I believe that you need both SKS and WB for SKS to work properly. Again, I may be in error but I think this is/was true.

Wizard ... You are one indeed ! I had tried just transferring the files with no success, but the "Rebuild List" suggestion worked like a charm.
Many thanks to both you and gmc2 for such quick replies !

All of your WindowBlind skins are saved in Public Documents/Stardock/WindowBlinds. Just copy your file folders to that location. (Note you may need to open WB Config and click on the little icon at top left and select Rebuild List)
Bingo. Spot on!
Edit: Well, that's what one gets for letting the post stay open for far too long without answering it.... a late and useless responce...
Plus the feeling every one is laughing at you.

Badgename, I'm glad you got it sorted. I do get things right, on occasion.
Snowy, just knowing you are still here is enough for me.
